Why another meeting? It's all about you. I love this quote for its simplicity and relevance from Mr Larry Fink, Chairman & CEO, BlackRock: "In a global, interconnected economy, jobs will flow to the nations, the regions and the companies with the best training and education for talent development".

10:45, BREAK

11 - 11:40,
SECURITY BRIEFING:
Active-shooter at work... Terror!
Let's discuss how to deal with it

Given the recent incidents in San Bernardino, in Colorado, the Oregon university at Umpqua... and others, it is clear and present in our mind the issue of violence in the workplace, not to mention the possible threat from the mideast-related issues. Add to that, Texas is now an 'Open Carry State' and gun sales are rising... generated nationwide by the White House 'executive action'.

We will discuss not only how to respond to an incident to save your life and the lives of your colleagues, we will also discuss how to prevent such situations.

A brief video will provide official Department of Homeland Security recommendations. More importantly, the discussion will focus on what each manager and employee can do to prevent such situations from occurring ...and how to prepare for the possible. With a certain amount of attention, persons with a 'propensity' can be detected and prescribed security measures can serve as a deterrent.
