In a global, interconnected economy, jobs will flow to the nations with the best training and education.
-- Larry Fink,
Chairman & CEO,
Hello and Welcome to what I want to call, New York Global™.
Today's education program is brought to you in a special alliance with ENP - Executive Next Practices Institute, a research and forum-based organization comprised of several thousand top business leaders(CEO, CMO, COO, CFO, Top HR, others). The forums are broadly known as “ENP” and the public sessions feature top thought leaders guiding highly collaborative sessions in the review of emerging trends, innovative techniques, and formulation of new strategies that move organizations “beyond the status quo”.
Looking back to 'last century'...in the early '90s...we produced the 1st-ever edition for New York. The event was focused on clear, operational tactics connected with the tasks of managing employee relocation and mainly into New York. But today, while never forgetting our roots and a still-important need to attract and develop leadership based in New York, the unquestioned global financial capital, today's conference focus will be 'global mindset' and what it takes to grow new opportunity, in-bound, out-bound and cross-border.
Focus will be about CEO objectives... Acquiring and developing the best talent for the appropriate positions and right locations,
right time, right price…for the world we will be living in:
frontier markets - developing markets - developed markets ™
Today's 'new world' provides new challenges and new talent eager for learning and development.
What's your strategy for developing millennials in the US?
What's your strategy for growing market-share across borders?
What new techniques and technology are you developing for enhancing customer services and talent engagement?
Today will help you achieve deeper understandings and provide you with a pathway for opportunity. Enjoy and thrive !

The Schutz Company
Ethan Schutz is widely recognized as a leader and expert on 'Human Capital Excellence as a Means to Producing Results'. Achieving business results is imperative in today’s world. Despite the frequent emphasis on systems and processes, your people are ultimately the asset that creates value and achieves results. As an example, we will explain how Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center used The Human Element, an approach for creating human capital excellence, to achieve spectacular results in patient care.
Ethan Schutz is President of The Schutz Company, a consulting and publishing company and provider of the LIFO® Method and The Human Element® approach. He promotes, encourages, and directs the use, development, and expansion of these bodies of work in the US. Globally, he nurtures and grows the LIFO and Human Element communities, made up of practitioners and partners in over 30 countries. He delivers training, coaching, and in-depth practitioner training programs to support consultant excellence and creativity.
Ethan worked with his father, Will Schutz, PhD, creator of FIRO theory and The Human Element—a body of work designed to improve individual, team, and organizational effectiveness through self-awareness and direct, honest communication. He contributed to Human Element-based program design, the revision of the FIRO-based Elements of Awareness instrument series, and research for the book, The Human Element. He authored a chapter in The Human Element @ Work, a field book of worldwide use of The Human Element, which described his experience teaching conflict resolution skills at Columbia University using The Human Element methodology.
Specializing in consulting, training, and coaching using The Human Element, Ethan delivers Human Element workshops, coaching and certification courses on The Human Element to clients of various industries and types. He focuses on the areas of leadership, team building, and group facilitation, as well as integrating The Human Element into in-depth leadership and management programs.
As an architect in the first part of his career, Ethan managed projects where he encountered people—plumbers, city inspectors, engineers, general contractors, and others—who did not work collaboratively with each other. Motivated by this experience to make change, he now applies his combined business experience from the building industry and his knowledge of human interactions to his consulting and training work.
He has worked with a variety of clients in many industries including the United Nations, NASA, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Sanofi-Aventis, Abbott Labs, Abbvie, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific, Santander Bank, Canadian National Defence, Swedish Tax Agency, Columbia University, American University/NTL, and the Center for Creative Leadership. He has presented in the US, the UK, Sweden, France, Spain, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Ethan holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. In addition to Master Human Element Practitioner, his credentials include training at the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) at Teachers College, completion of the UA Intern Program in Organization and HR Development, and numerous psychometric instrument certifications
