THE CULTURAL COMPONENT.. FRAMEWORK of CULTURE
There are over 100 definitions of CULTURE, which is not surprising when considering that culture is a composite concept with many facets, each very complex in its own right. In addition, as individuals, we experience culture through our own lens which often leads to different even opposite perceptions of the same reality.
So how can we make sense of this complexity in an objective way?
The last three decades have provided a lot objective assistance, starting with Hofstede’s research in the 80’s followed by Trompenaars in the 90’s and finally the GLOBE project, since 2004 (now ongoing). They have all provided cultural-dimension models, with some elements overlapping and some not, all available to be used as benchmarks and developmental frames by the business leaders of our multinational organisations.
This session will include highly-interactive audience participation, i.e. group interaction to provide a more complete perspective on all facets of the culture concept, including the latest research and we will ask the conference delegates if...and, how such information is used or not... in the full talent management cycle by HR practitioners and business leaders.

DEMOGRAPHIC TRENDS and the IMPACT on PENSIONS in C&EE
Redesign remuneration
– from cash salary to automatic enrolment for compensation
The world's population is ageing. In OECD countries, there are 25 people of pensionable age for every 100 of working age today. Or, put another way, there are 4 people of working age for every pensioner. From 2010, ageing is expected to accelerate. In 2050, there will be just two people of working age for every person of pensionable age.
Ageing puts pressure on government finances, but also on the companies that have to pay out pensions for a longer time and on the labour force that has to support the rising number of pensioners. In some regions, we are now facing a “war for talent”.

LEARNING MORE ABOUT US
Now for your information and comfort, please allow me to introduce ourselves. We are a California-based public relations company and as a part of our business we have organised, produced, financed, and MC'd/Moderated over 200 meetings across the US, parts of Europe, and in Brasil, Panama and Mexico. Briefly, our first-ever business conference was produced at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in October of 1984. I will tell you more about it if you want the information. Now updating you, between January 2008 thru July 2011, GLOBALHR™ produced 65 LIVE business conferences, mostly in the US but also in Europe, Canada, and Latin America. Approximately 5,000 delegates were served with top-quality education; 55-60% (average) were corporate representatives. By design, we specialize in smaller, streamlined meetings to better enable a collaborative, experiential learning environment... very-highly-interactive idea exchanges to better enable maximum take-away by the corporate participants and subject-matter experts. And regarding our publication customers and our communications-reach, Google has been measuring GLOBALHRnews.com since 2006 and recently Google reported 73,539 reader-pageviews in the timeframe from January 1 thru July 31, 2011 and this includes 14,358 during July 1-31. We developed a radio show using the Special Guest Interview format and to date we have produced, hosted and marketed 60 shows. All of this means that our company is known for producing and delivering quality and practical information across multiple platforms for many years.
